Tom and Stacy Fusaro

Proprietors Tom and Stacy Fusaro are Nantucket residents with deep roots on the Island. Born and raised here, Stacy is a scrimshaw artist and accomplished oil painter who remains active within the community and can be found smiling at the front door of Fusaro’s greeting guests daily. Tom moved to Nantucket in the early 80′s attracted by the Island’s beautiful natural landscape and quality of life.

After many years as an island tradesman, Tom, who had already earned a reputation for being an incredible cook, decided that it was time to pursue his lifelong passion – preparing and serving delicious homemade Italian food to family and friends. As luck would have it, an ideal location became available, and in 2011 Fusaro’s Homemade Italian was born.

Chef Brendan Horigan graduated with a culinary degree from Nicholls State University in Louisiana and was classically trained at Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France. He has cooked in various kitchens across the country including Ciao Bello in Houston, Texas and Tom Colicchio’s Craft Restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. Most recently, before joining Fusaro’s, Brendan was the sous chef under Chef Marcus Ware at The Greydon House here on Nantucket.

Tom, with Brendan’s assistance, created Fusaro’s menu inspired by dishes enjoyed by generations of his big, tight-knit Italian family during Sunday dinners. Be sure to look for his Nana Jean’s colander that hangs in the restaurant today.
